Langtang valley trekking is a perfect combination of cultural and natural beauties. Langtang Valley is located nearly 220 Km far from Kathmandu Valley. Surrounding of Langtang valley was declared as a national park in 1976, and Langtang national park is the 2nd largest national park of Nepal. Langtang Valley offers diversity of cultures, spectacular scenario of Himalayan ranges, ranges of capped snow and the harmony of residents of langtang valley.

Day 01:           Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:           In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Day 03:           Drive to Syabrubesi 1,440m – 08 hours journey.
Day 04:           Trek to Lama Hotel 2,470m – 06 hours.
Day 05:           Trek to Langtang Village 3,430m – 06 hours.
Day 06:           Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,870m- 04 hours.
Day 07:           In Kyanjin Gompa rest day for acclimatization with short hike.
Day 08:           Trek to Lama Hotel – 06 hrs.
Day 09:           Trek to Thulo / Upper Syabru 2,211m – 05 hrs.
Day 10:           Trek to Shing Gompa 3,330 m – 05 hours
Day 11:           Trek to Gosaikunda 4,460 m – 05 hrs.
Day 12:           Cross Laurabina-la 4,609 m trek to Gopte Odar 3,440 m – 06 hrs.
Day 13:           Trek to Kutumsang 2,446 m – 06 hrs.
Day 14:           Trek to Gulbhanjyang 2,125 m – 05 hrs.
Day 15:           Trek to Chisopani 2,300 m -05 hrs.
Day 16:           Trek to Sundarijal 1,460m drive to Kathmandu
Day 17:           International departure for home ward bound.

Day 01:          Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport , our team will pickup you and transfer to hotel

Day 02:          Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Morning our city guide will take you for sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites, temples, monasteries, old king’s palaces after an interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for Langtang valley & Holy Gosainkund trekking.

Day 03:           Drive to Syabrubesi 1,460 m – 07 hours.
Starting Langtang valley & Gosainkund trekking with a scenic drive to Syabrubesi to begin our journey to Langtang valley, drive leads north passing many towns and farm villages of Kakani, Trisuli and Ramche, this nice long drive leads towards cooler area beyond hills on leaving the low warm areas of rice terraces, as the air gets cooler reaching higher altitude at Langtang National Park in Dhunche town located 1,965m high, a major town of Langtang and Rasuwa district. After a brief stop journey continues further downhill on the winding road to reach first overnight stop at Syabrubesi village.

Day 04:           Trek to Lama Hotel 2,430m – 06 hours.
First day walk starts with few hours climb then walk gets gentle on gradual path through terraced farms and scattered villages. Trek continues reaching a river side where trail from Thulo Syabru meets near Bamboo place of few teahouses and lodges. After a short rest walk leads on the uphill trail into cool forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines tree lines and gorge following the Trisuli River fed from the glacier of Langtang peaks, walk follows the river upstream then on the gradual nice path to Lama Hotel for overnight stop.Lama Hotel located in the middle of alpine forest with nice clearing for campsite and organic vegetable garden.

Day 05:           Trek to Langtang village 3,430m – 06 hours.
After a nice morning, walk starts into a river gorge with dense forested area, mid day walk reaches a nice spot at Ghoretabla (horse stable), from onwards altitude gains slowly and the air gets cooler.After lunch afternoon walk continues to our overnight stop at Langtang village with few hours trek to reach Langtang village, a nice moderate size village of Tamang and Bhotia’s tribe people, native of Langtang region for hundreds of years.

Day 06:           Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,850m – 04 hours.
This morning a short half day walk to Kyanjin Gompa at Langtang valley, walk follows a short steep uphill where tree lines declines for short bushes of rhododendron, juniper and prickly Burberry bushes, walk slowly enters the wide glacial valley with incredible views of surrounding high snowcapped peaks with Dorji Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Tsego ri, Langshsisa and Naya Kanga or Ganja la peak.

After a nice scenic walk reaching at Kyanjin Gompa for overnight stop and rest day, a wonderful spot with wide green meadows a pasture or grazing land for Yaks and other cattle’s.

Langtang valley offers view of Langtang Lirung glacier and ice fall just nearby, Kyanjin with an old small run down monastery placed on a rocky moraine ridge top, this place has a Yak Cheese Factory established some 30 years ago with Swiss technical support.

Day 07:           At Kyanjin Gompa rest and hike.

A necessary rest day at Kyanjin for acclimatization before heading towards high Gosainkund or East Laurabina-la pass, here with short hike to a hill top of Tsergo Ri at 5,033m.

The climb to Tsergo Ri is quite steep offers wonderful panorama of high mountains.

Day 08:           Trek to Lama Hotel – 06 hrs.

After a wonderful stop at Kyanjin within beautiful Langtang valley, morning walk with long descend most of the way to Lama Hotel passing by Langtang village and Ghoretablea following the Langtang Khola and back at Lama Hotel for overnight stop.

Day 09:           Trek to Thulo / Upper Syabru 2,211m – 05 hrs.

From Lama Hotel, morning walk follows with views on downhill to Bamboo a small settlement with few teahouses serving as lodge. After a short break walk past farm terraces of millets, corns and wheat’s (depending upon the time of season), on leaving farm area walk leads uphill on winding trail to Upper or Thulo Syabru for overnight stop.

Thulo Syabru an interesting village, where houses are linked together with an old monastery above the village.

Day 10:           Trek to Shing Gompa 3,330m – 05 hours.

After Thulo Syabru, morning walk on high path into forest of rhododendron, pines, and hemlocks trees with views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu Mountains with Langtang Lirung, after hours of climb reaching a level area. From here on gentle path to Shing Gompa also called Chandanbari for overnight stop. This small place houses few nice lodges and a small cheese factory with old monastery.

Day 11:           Trek to Gosainkund 4,460 m – 05 hrs.

From Shing Gompa, walk leads to our next adventure towards holy Gosainkund, starting with a gentle climb into pine and rhododendron tree lines, then higher to West Lauri Binayak pass at 3,932 m / 12,900 ft after walking past Laurebina and Cholang Pati.

Around this area rare Red Panda are often seen, after a nice walk with views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung and then reaching holy Gosaikunda Lake area for overnight stop.

The story of Gosainkund as per ancient Hindu, a vicarage of Lord Shiva (one of three Hindu main god) believes that this pristine pond was made digging the land by a Trisul (a holy Trident) weapon of Lord Shiva. Thousands Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims from India and Nepal visits Gosainkund every year especially on full moon day which lies in the month of August, on auspicious occasion of ‘Janai Purnima’ festival.

Day 12:           Trek to Gopte 3,440 m over Laurabina pass at 4,609 m – 07 hrs.

After an interesting overnight stop at Gosainkund, today one of the tough days of this fabulous walks, as the path climbs leading over East Laurabina or Gosainkund pass at 4,609 m / 15,121 ft, the highest point of the adventure.

From the pass downhill all the way to Phedi (bottom) and then with few short ups and downs to reach at Gopte Odar for overnight stop near Helambu area and on route Kathmandu.

This small settlement located in the middle of juniper, rhododendron and pines forest.

Day 13:           Trek to Kutumsang 2,445m via Mange-Ghot 3,285 m – 06 hrs.
From here morning walk leads through forest with short climb to reach a high ridge of Thadepati at 3,597 meters, where Helambu and Kathmandu trail joins.

This high spot offers wonderful views of peaks and scenery of rolling hills and valley, this place with about 5-6 lodges or teahouses.

After a nice break here walk leads downhill most of the way to overnight stop at Kutumsang village, a lovely walk into forest on route Kutumasang village.

Day 14:           Trek to Gulbhanjyang 2,125 m – 05 hours.
After a nice stop at Kutumsang village, morning leads on winding uphill trail through farm fields and terraces and farm villages with few ups and down-hills and into forest with great views of landscapes and high mountain range of Ganesh-Langtang to Jugal Himal, then this nice walk ends for the day at Gul-Bhanjyang village.

Day 15:           Trek to Chisapani Danda 2,195 m – 05 hours.
As the day walk progress heading near to Kathmandu valley ridges at Chisapani, morning walk starts with short uphill through farmlands and villages into forest with scenery with downhill to Patibanjayang village, from this nice village uphill for an hour to Chisopani for last overnight stop of the adventure, before completing at Kathmandu.

Chisopani village with about 5 to 6 lodges a beautiful spot located on a ridgel on route Kathmandu, Langtang, Helambu and Nagarkot offers striking sunrise and sunset views over range of mountains.

Day 16:           Trek to Sundarijal 1,380m an hour drive back to Kathmandu.
Morning catching sunrise views over mountains, last day walk of this adventure leads downhill through forest and farmlands and then on path, passing farm villages of Tamang people around Burlang and Chepu Bhanjyang at 2,438m with views of Kathmandu Valley.

Last day walk continues downhill to Sundarijal (meaning beautiful water) a nice and pleasant spot within forest and fresh water streams surrounding, a popular picnic spot for Kathmandu people to be away from the hectic busy city life.

From here an hour downhill to road head at Sundarijal, and then a short drive back to Kathmandu after a fantastic time around high mountains, on reaching your hotel afternoon free for individual activities and shopping.

Day 17:           International departure for home ward bound.
